International Indigenous Peoples Day 2024 Tacoma. This international day of the world’s indigenous peoples 2024 is focusing on ‘protecting the rights of indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation and initial contact’. In order to raise awareness of the needs of indigenous peoples, every 9 august commemorates the international day of the world’s indigenous peoples.

This day recognizes the need to protect the rights, cultures and identities of indigenous peoples. Indigenous peoples live in all regions of the world and own, occupy or use some 22% of global land area.
